NYS EMT Core Refresher: 20-Hour Intensive Weekend

This intensive three-day course is designed for New York State BLS EMS providers to complete 20 hours of Core CME requirements in a single weekend. Our program covers the essential mandatory topics required for recertification, delivered by experienced instructors in a classroom format.

Course Schedule & Topics

Friday (4.0 Hours)

• 6:00 PM: Pharmacology/Emergency Meds (1.0 hr)
• 7:00 PM: Psychiatric (1.0 hr)
• 8:00 PM: Special Needs (1.0 hr)
• 9:00 PM: Immunology (0.5 hr)
• 9:30 PM: Toxicology (0.5 hr)

Saturday (8.0 Hours)

• 8:00 AM: Preparatory (1.0 hr)
• 9:00 AM: Airway (2.0 hrs)
• 11:00 AM: Endocrine System (0.5 hr)
• 11:30 AM: Neurology (0.5 hr)
• 12:00 PM: Lunch Break (30 minutes)
• 12:30 PM: Abdominal, Geni-Renal, GI, & Hemo (1.0 hr)
• 1:30 PM: Respiratory (1.0 hr)
• 2:30 PM: Shock & Resuscitation (2.0 hrs)

Sunday (8.0 Hours)

• 8:00 AM: Geriatrics (1.5 hrs)
• 9:30 AM: Cardiology (2.0 hrs)
• 11:30 AM: Lunch Break (30 minutes)
• 12:00 PM: OB, Neonate, & Pediatrics (1.5 hrs)
• 1:30 PM: Trauma (2.0 hrs)
• 3:30 PM: EMS Operations (1.0 hr)
